It’s such a privilege to have an opportunity to connect with so many wonderful Calgary entrepreneurs to share their story. One of my goals for 2016 is to share what drives Calgary entrepreneurs in doing what they’re doing!
I’d like to profile Sheryl Rothert with whom I got to know as a member of Exmerce through her former business, Oxford Learning. Today, Sheryl Rothert is a published author and independent consultant for Freedom 55 Financial.
In 2004, Sheryl started her own system of managing groceries, as a way to produce an extra $100 per month to contribute to their family’s RRSPs. As a former Home Economics teacher, she was mindful of nutrition with the food purchased, eaten, and how it was cooked. Sheryl looked more into how she could best store and re-use leftovers, so there wouldn’t be much waste. This helped to save her family money and time, as well as being more nutritious than relying on fast food. The system worked well for Sheryl’s family. That is when Sheryl decided that she needed to write a book to let more people know of this system.
Sheryl recently published a book called FOUND: Health, Wealth, and Time in a Grocery Bag. Through Sheryl’s book, she hopes to help as many individuals and families devise a plan to save money and time.
Sheryl says, “I want to ensure that all families and individuals know that no matter their age and income, a plan can be devised that they can count on. They need to know that there are solutions for whatever life places in front of them, and their dreams and goals can still be achieved – the strategies are not always the same, but if we keep the goal in mind, we will find a way to get there! Goals do change, also the plan can easily be adjusted. The earlier we can start on our plans the better, but later is always better than never – we just need to be more creative at that point to answer the challenge!”
To order a copy of Sheryl’s book, please email sheryl.rothert@gmail.com. The book retails for $24.95.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
