Momentum in Edmonton: Recap of Our Sold-Out Speed Networking Event

Exmerce Edmonton just hosted its second Speed Networking event, and to say the energy in the room was “something special” would be an understatement.

A Different Kind of Crowd

It was a completely sold-out event featuring an eclectic mix of local businesses. This wasn’t your typical, stiff networking mixer; the diversity of industries and backgrounds in the room created a powerful atmosphere of genuine curiosity and collaboration.

The Perfect Backdrop

A massive thank you goes to The Backyard Smokehouse for hosting us. The space and the atmosphere were incredible, providing the perfect environment for an afternoon of real, focused connection.

We also want to give a shout-out to our sponsor photographer, Amanda Swanson. She was there capturing the movement of the room, and we can’t wait to share her professional photos with you all very soon!

The Verdict: A “Good” Problem to Have

The feedback from our attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Business owners walked away with:

  • Valuable new connections that go beyond a simple business card exchange.
  • Fresh opportunities to leverage the barter exchange.
  • Meaningful conversations that sparked new ideas.

In fact, the only “complaint” we heard throughout the entire afternoon was that there wasn’t enough time to meet everyone. In the world of networking, that is exactly the kind of problem we like to have. It proves that the appetite for community-driven business growth in Edmonton is stronger than ever.

What’s Next?

Exmerce is building something different in Edmonton, and it’s growing fast. We are focused on creating a space where local entrepreneurs can connect authentically and help each other scale using their “hidden capital.”

Missed out on this one? Don’t let the next one sell out without you. Keep an eye on our event calendar and ensure you’re part of the next wave of connections.
