Exmerce is a business trade exchange founded by Nelson Liem in 2005. We are committed to helping small businesses in Alberta leverage barter through the Exmerce virtual currency to help companies increase sales, save cash, and turn excess capacity into profit.
We pride ourselves in delivering superior customer service and value the relationships built with our community members.
We create value by driving new business to our clients and helping our clients buy products or services on barter for their business or personally. Today, Exmerce represents over 500 businesses across Alberta.

How Bartering Works
Get products and services by trading, without having to spend hard-earned cash.
Bartering allows you to acquire goods and services without spending cash. The Exmerce platform facilitates this process differently than traditional barter. You earn “Exmerce Dollars” when other members purchase from you. These dollars then let you buy various products and services from other Exmerce members. This community offers a diverse selection of businesses and offerings.
The Exmerce process is simple. A florist, for example, can sell a dozen roses to an Exmerce member mechanic and earn Exmerce Dollars. This currency lets the florist purchase things like accounting services or business cards from other members. Exmerce Trade Brokers assist members with buying and selling, using various marketing tools to promote your products and services within the community.
