Member Event Calendar Policies

At Exmerce, we are committed to fostering a strong business community through networking, learning, and collaboration. Our Member Event Calendar is designed to showcase our members professional events that align with the interests of our barter network. To maintain consistency and value for our members, we have established the following policies for event submissions:

1. Eligibility Criteria

  • Events must be business-focused and provide value to professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners.
  • The event organizer must be a current Exmerce member in good standing. Events that are collaborations must have at least 1 current Exmerce member to be eligible. 
  • Events must have a clear business purpose, such as networking, professional development, industry insights, or business growth opportunities.
  • Personal, social, or non-business-related events will not be approved.

2. Exmerce Payment Requirement

  • To be featured on the Exmerce Member Event Calendar, tickets must be available for purchase using Exmerce Dollars.
  • Events with a cash-only payment model are not eligible. 
  • Free events are also permitted to be listed provided they meet all other criteria.

3. Submission Guidelines

  • Members must submit their event details at least 7 days in advance of their event date to allow for review and publishing.
  • All submissions must include:
    • Event Name & Description
    • Date & Time
    • Location (or Virtual Link)
    • Ticket Pricing in Exmerce Dollars
    • Registration or Ticket Purchase Link
    • Organizer Contact Information
  • Exmerce reserves the right to edit event descriptions for clarity and consistency before publication.

4. Approval Process

  • All event submissions will be reviewed to ensure they meet the above criteria. Approval is at the discretion of Exmerce.
  • If an event does not meet the requirements, the organizer will be notified with feedback on necessary adjustments.
  • Approved events will be posted within 5 business days of submission.

5. Event Promotion & Responsibilities

  • While Exmerce provides a platform to promote approved events, event organizers are responsible for their own marketing and attendance.
  • Exmerce is not liable for event logistics, cancellations, or disputes between event organizers and attendees.
  • Please note that submission to the Exmerce member events calendar does not guarantee promotion in our Hoopla or through any other means. These entities are entirely separate. For promotion in the Exmerce hoopla please contact your barter concierge. 

6. Event Updates & Cancellations

  • Organizers must notify Exmerce immediately if an event is canceled, rescheduled, or modified.
  • Failure to update event details in a timely manner may result in future event submissions being denied.

By submitting an event, organizers agree to abide by these policies and ensure that their event aligns with the values and purpose of Exmerce.
